Learning Photography Basics: Steady, Steady, Steady

A basic technique taught to anyone who is interested in learning photography correctly is to make sure that the camera is steady.

Blurring and out of focus pictures will be the result if the hand is unsteady or is the camera keeps moving. It is very important to hold the camera in the right position that will not make the hand or the body shake. It all comes in digital photography tips which you must know before going to any related assignments.

If the photography is related to wedding ceremony which is very important type of photography and where you have to look after each minor things, so you should know some wedding photography tips as it will help you further in the process of taking wedding photography.

With compact cameras, the light weight can be an advantage because it is easier to hold. However this is the exact reason why it is also the most difficult to make steady as a strong gust of wind or even just the breathing patterns of the holder could already affect the shot.

  1. Bring Lots of Batteries – This is especially important for digital camera users since digital uses more power than film. And if you’re like many guests with digital cameras who share their pictures during the reception, then that LCD screen will use up even more power. So bring lots (and I mean lots) of extra batteries.
  2. Bring Extra Memory Cards and Increase the Resolution – You will never know which photos will be the ones displayed in a large picture frame so make sure your camera is set to high resolution. Having extra memory cards will help make sure you don’t run out of space.

Excellent Spots to Get Wedding Pictures

Weddings are too special to leave the photography in the hands of amateurs. It is worth the extra expense for this once in a lifetime special day. Some prefer to have the posed couple, wedding party, family, and extended family pictures taken indoors where weather doesn’t matter. Others choose natural beauty as their backdrop.

If you want outdoor pictures of your wedding and live in the Virginia Beach area, then you are in luck. This area of far eastern Virginia has such a variety of possibilities that just about any couple would be satisfied with the choices.

People living in the Virginia Beach area have probably developed a love for its multitude of beaches. Located right on the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, the area borders both the Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. This means miles of beaches, such as Baylake Beach, North Virginia Beach, and Sandbridge Beach provide plenty of places for a wedding party to get some classic shots against the ocean. Other backdrops might include piers and sand dunes.

Wedding Photography Tips – Only the Very Brave Will Attempt It

There’s nothing worse than terrible shots or no shots of one of the most momentous events in a person’s life. A wedding is made in heaven but the devil lies in the details. Skip some important points and you can wish you were in the trashcan with the rubber chicken and leathery lettuce.

Here are some tips to help you negotiate this photographic minefield.

Hire a professional.
No? Don’t want to do that? You think Uncle George can do it fine on the cheap? Save a few bucks and spread the joy around? Then read on, reckless fool…

Be prepared.
Emotionally, spiritually, intellectually and photographically. You will need more than just a strong heart and nerves of steel. You’ll need extra memory sticks, extra batteries, a flash outfit, a tripod and a zoom/wide-angle lens. You’ll also need a decent photo editing program to produce the finished product in an acceptable form.

Have an assistant or a helper.
You should have lots of stuff to carry around, and you need someone who will watch your gear when you’re busy. Get a person to help you. It’s also good to have someone relatively sane to talk to.
